Talia is a cartoonist and illustrator from Los Angeles, currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
She received her BA from Brown in 2018 and an MFA in comics from the California College of the Arts in 2020. Her debut graphic novel, M is for Monster was published by Abrams ComicArts: Surely in 2022. She was a professor of illustration at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design for three years. Currently she lives in Brooklyn working on more exciting comics projects!
Talia is a queer, biracial, Chinese artist who cares a great deal about positive diverse representation in Children’s and YA literature. She writes and draws fantasy comics that are thinly veiled autobiography, and autobiographical comics that are somewhat fantastical. She likes drawing magic, vintage clothing, witches, and swooshy hair. In other words, if she could live in a gothic aesthetic blog she would.
